In the event of a life threatening medical emergency, call medical emergency services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Patient Care Center, and they will contact us.

Some scenarios include:

• Severe chest pain and shortness of breath
• Major burns
• Severe head injuries
• Emergency childbirth
• Seizures
• Bleeding that does not stop
• Drug or other poisoning
• Life-threatening injuries

If you are in doubt about whether or not you should go to the emergency room, call your primary care physician.

If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to a doctor after our regular hours, please call the office at which you are normally seen. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.

The doctors at Patient Care Center are participating providers with Medicare, but not with any insurance plans. You can, however, see our doctors as “out-of-network” providers for most insurance companies. We also accept cash, checks and major credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Patient Care Center are routinely issued during regular office hours. No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctor does not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
